Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. At the age five she moved to Oxfordshire where she studied at the Dragon School. At the age of six, Emma realized that she wanted to be an actress and for many years she was a student at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied singing dancing and acting. As part of a school production and the stage of a Stagecoach Production, Emma took as the lead role at age 10, and acted. Casting began in 1999 in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by agents through the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after 8 auditions. They were selected as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema.
